About Shallaw Mohammed
I am Shallaw Mohammed, a Kurdish activist raising my voice against oppression, corruption, and injustice in the Kurdistan Region. Through peaceful protests and public statements, I continue to stand for truth and the rights of my people.
I am a Kurdish political activist living in the United Kingdom. For years, I have joined demonstrations across different UK cities, including London, Manchester, Leeds, and Birmingham, to condemn the actions of the ruling Kurdish parties, the PDK and PUK.
My activism focuses on defending freedom of speech, supporting political prisoners, and calling for justice for journalists and citizens who have been silenced or killed for speaking the truth. I believe in peaceful protest and continue to express my views publicly despite the risks this brings to my safety.

Causes I Stand For
These are the causes that define my activism — the fight for justice, freedom, and the protection of human rights in Kurdistan.
Freedom of Speech
I stand against censorship and the persecution of journalists, writers, and activists who speak the truth. Every person should have the right to express their views without fear of arrest or intimidation.

Political Prisoners
I call for the immediate release of Kurdish political prisoners, including the Badinan activists, who were unjustly detained for criticising the government and demanding justice.
Through protests and campaigns, I expose the ongoing human rights abuses in the Kurdistan Region, where corruption, inequality, and violence have become daily realities for many.
Human Rights Violations

Anti-Corruption
I protest against the ruling families and parties who misuse power and resources for personal gain. My activism aims to hold them accountable and demand transparency in leadership.
Martyrs of Truth
I honour the memory of journalists and activists such as Sardasht Osman and Wadat Hussein, who lost their lives for revealing corruption and defending freedom of speech.
Kurdish Unity and Freedom
I believe in a united and democratic Kurdistan where all voices are respected and people live free from oppression, corruption, and fear.
